I was so excited that Kirsten and Kirk got to come all the way from California for the blessing! They didn't get to stay too long, but it was great to see them and I'm glad they got to meet Brady. Aunt Kirsten got some pretty good smiles from the little guy (and plenty of tears too!) And they brought Brady this cute little outfit...it has a lion on the butt and the cutest, tiniest flip-flops in the world.

Brady's Blessing
We blessed Brady at church this past Sunday. It was so nice to have everyone here! The only family we were missing (from both sides) was my oldest sister Megan and her family, but they got to meet Brady first. Anyway, Brady did really well at church and slept mostly through the whole thing. Here are some pictures...

Tough Choice...
So we bought an outfit for Brady to wear for his baby blessing long before he was born. It's size 0-3 months, and according to their sizing chart it should fit. Much to my dismay, it is still rather large on him and his blessing is only a week away! So we bought another outfit that is size newborn. It still seems a little big to me, but what can ya do? Anyway, take a look and let me know which one you like best. Either way he will look adorable of course. And pay no attention to the fact that he is screaming in one picture (apparently he does not like to play dress up). There's a poll to your right or you can leave a comment. Thanks!

One Month
I can hardly believe it, but Brady is a month old already! He is growing so fast and he is starting to get really alert. We now get to enjoy his smiles (not just from gas). Grandma got his first smile and then Aliisa. He didn't give Mommy or Daddy smiles until the next day!
Last week we got his tongue clipped. He was tongue tied at birth and thanks to my mom's neighbor, Lori, who is a lactation consultant (who was the one who told us) we were able to get it taken care of without any problem. So basically the tissue under his tongue (frenulum) was attached more toward the tip of his tongue, which really limits the movement of the tongue and also makes breast feeding more difficult for him. To fix the problem they just clip the tissue with a little pair of scissors, hold some gauze there for a minute to stop the bleeding and then have him breastfeed because the antibodies in the milk are all it needs to heal. He is already making so much progress with the feeding...again thanks in a large part to Lori.
He has also rolled from his belly to his back...twice! Yes, I realize it was not intentional, but he is such a squirmer already and so strong. He likes to hold his head up when you try to lay him on your chest and has been doing that since before we left the hospital. He sleeps pretty well at night, sometimes going 5 hours between feedings. Anyway, here are some pictures.

Hanging Out With the Marshalls
We were so excited to have Megan, Patrick and Luke come visit for about two weeks! (We were sad Benjamin couldn't join us...school shmool). Patrick and Luke are pretty entertaining and so much fun! Luke loved to give Brady kisses and point out his facial features (we tried to avoid the eyes). Patrick gave a few kisses but was more concerned with playing basketball and such. It was so much fun to have Megan keep me company and take turns holding this little guy. I wasn't very good about taking pictures, but here are a couple. Thanks for coming to visit. I wish you guys lived closer so our boys could grow up together!

Our Growing Boy!
Brady is now two weeks old! We went to the doctor yesterday and he is now 21 inches (an inch longer than birth) and 7 lbs 8 oz ( 7 oz bigger than birth!) The weight goal at two weeks is to be at birth weight, so obviously our little guy is doing better than ok! Here are a few more pictures of this cutie
