Luke Benjamin Marshall

Here is a picture of our newest nephew. This is one cute baby! I can't wait to meet this little guy. He looks completely different than Patrick did when he was born, so it will be interesting to see how little Luke turns out. Congrats Megan and Benjamin! The second is just as cute as the first!

Alexa's Party

Sunday we had Alexa's party. I think she was a little overwhelmed with all the presents and kind of confused about why she had to put each new toy to the side to open up another present. Ashlyn was kind enough to help he open her presents.

Cassandra made a really cute giant cupcake for her birthday cake, but she really didn't seem too interested. Kyle forced her to touch it and then she was upset because she was messy. Cassandra tried sticking some frosting in her mouth but that didn't work either. Oh well, at least she didn't get too messy.

Addison joined in by sporting this party hat :)

Trick or Treat...Early

While we were in Camdenton, all the kids put on their Halloween costumes and then Trick or Treated in Cassie's house, which consisted of knocking on two doors and getting some candy. They were pretty dang cute in their costumes and Ashlyn politely asked for some candy when she came to my door instead of the usual "trick or treat."

Weekend in Camdenton

It was Alexa's first birthday party this weekend, so Quentin and I ventured off to Camdenton. Everyone was there except Nick, Colton, and their girls. It was so fun to see everyone and we couldn't believe how big all the nieces and nephew (yes, the Bell side of the family is a bit lacking in the Y chromosome) are getting!

Last time we saw Addison she was just a little over a month old and now she is about 5 months. She is a chubby baby and so so pinchable and squeezable. Such a cutie!
We hardly recognized Preston because he has pretty much lost his baby look and is now a very cute little boy! He's a busy little boy, so I couldn't get the greatest picture, but here he is attempting to eat a ball.
Ashlyn is a smart little girl and still likes to snuggle and give nice, big hugs, which pretty much makes me melt. She loves her Uncle Quentin.
I can't believe Alexa is a few days shy of being a year old! She is so fun to watch and has the cutest facial expressions. She is walking now, so she's all over the place.

Pumpkin Carving

We carved pumpkins last week with the Jacobs and had a blast! Here's what we ended up with...

Welcome Luke!

Megan had her baby last night! His name is Luke Benjamin Marshall and he weighed 7 pounds, 10 oz and was 20 1/2 in. We are so excited to welcome another nephew into the family! I'm a little sad that we won't get to meet him until the end of December, especially since I got to meet Patrick the day after he was born. We look forward to meeting him though! At least he will be at a more fun stage than a newborn when we get to see him. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures, but I wanted to share the news :) Congrats to the Marshall family!

Quentin's 23rd

Quentin's birthday was on Monday. He turned 23. I made him a fun-fetti cake with rainbow chip frosting...his favorite.

Our friends, Michael and Karen, came over and their baby, Andrew, wore his present to Quentin. He loves Quentin, so he started the Quentin Bell fan club. Andrew is president and has invited Butters to be vice president. This is how much Andrew loves Quentin... Maybe the bib should say "My Heart Belongs to Quentin."

So I think Quentin's birthday turned out pretty well. He got a new pillow (so he can't complain that mine is better anymore), some brown and khaki socks (so he doesn't have to wear black socks with brown shoes), some sweat pants (so he can take Butters out in the cold), a CD I made him with a bunch of Muse songs because he really likes them, Season 5 of The Office (even though we opened it like a month ago), the new family picture that I already posted on here, an electric screw driver and some money from my parents, and some delicious chocolate from the Jacobs. Happy Birthday Quentin!

Family Pictures

Quentin's birthday is on Monday and the only thing he asked for was a family picture to include me, him and Butters (yes, that's right...he specifically asked to have Butters in the picture). Arlaine came to visit this weekend, so we asked her to take out picture. I thought it would be just one or two, but she got pretty into it and set up our poses and everything. Here are a few...

More Nesting

I know you are probably all sick of pictures of our living room, but too bad. For some reason I'm stuck in this nesting phase, so the rest of you get to hear all about it :) So I sewed pillows to go with our love seats and they are the same fabric as our curtain. And by "I" I mean that Mom did a lot of the work, so thanks Mom. Then we decided a rug would be a nice touch for our new little space. We found the perfect one at Target that Quentin and I both liked, so I bought it for Quentin for his birthday (mostly because he would not tell me what he wanted). Happy Birthday Quentin!

I am so proud of how this room turned out! Our apartment is becoming so homey and I love it! I had so much fun with my extreme makeover apartment edition.

Enjoying the New Living Room

Quentin and Butters snuggling on the new love seat :)

Butters new favorite spot...he crawls through the end table to burrow into the pile of pillows and blankets.
Our new coasters...I'm pretty proud of these. They are supposed to hold pictures, but I just put cute paper in them instead. Yep, I'm pretty creative.

New Love Seats :)

Here it is...the moment I'm sure you have all been waiting for...the new love seats have arrived! We rearranged a little bit and now it seems like we have a ton of extra space in here and I love it! We also got some new end tables at Wal-Mart that are really cute. AND I got new coasters :) So I have really been spoiled lately. Here's a picture...and you will all just have to come visit to get the full effect.

Our Saturday

We had a pretty busy Saturday this week! Cassandra and Alexa came to visit and it was a day full of shopping, eating, home decor, and just hanging out. Alexa absolutely LOVED Butters, and even kept trying to give him kisses. She is so cute and it was great to have them visit! Thanks for coming Cassie! On our shopping trip, we stopped by Hobby Lobby and these shelves that I've been wanting were on sale for 50% off, so we bought those and put them up after Cassie left. I should have taken a before picture, but all I have is the after. It looks so much better and Quentin did a great job hanging them! I also found some curtains on clearance at Target that will match our living room, so I hung those and bought another set to make pillows with that we can use with our new love seats.

New Furniture!

Saturday we bought new furniture! We can't get a couch up the stairs of our apartment, so we got two of the same love seat (pictured below in the same color and everything). They haven't delivered them yet, but I'll be sure to post pictures when we get them! They are Ashley brand, but we bought them at Missouri Furniture because they are the only ones who would price match Nebraska Furniture Mart. I can't wait to get them!! They are microfiber and I have always wanted microfiber furniture!

One Year!

Well, we made it through our first year of marriage! To celebrate we went to Branson together for the weekend. It was extra crowded because there was a car show there that weekend. We went to white water and there were lines to get the tubes so that you could go stand in line to ride the rides, but the weather was nice and we still had fun despite the crowds. Then we went on the Branson Belle, which is a showboat that goes out on Tablerock Lake. They feed you dinner and then there's a show and it was really fun. The food was really good and the show was really fun too. Unfortunately, I forgot to charge the battery in my camera before we went, so we didn't get any pictures :( Sadly, we did not even realize there was no battery until we tried to have someone take our picture. Oh well. We also went to the outlets, but just weren't that impressed this time. Then Quentin took me to get some ice cream at Maggie Moo's which is my FAVORITE! Unfortunately it traffic was horrible, so it took forever to get back to the hotel (we really are not patient people when it comes to traffic). We were both so tired from our busy day that we just layed around the hotel for the rest of the night. Sunday morning was our actual anniversary, so we saved our cake for then. Yes, we packed our frozen cake and took it with us! It was sitting in an ice chest all day, so the water and ice had soaked through the plastic wrap and the box to the cake, which did not look appetizing. Oh well, we really weren't expecting much from a one year old cake right? So we fed it to each other anyway (just a small bite) and then threw the rest away. It was a fun little trip and it's hard to believe it's already been a year. We have both grown a lot and I feel so blessed to have Quentin for a husband. He treats me so well and is very patient with me. I love him more and more every day and look forward to spending eternity with him! (Sorry, a little mushy I know).

4th of July

John's sister, Sarah, was kind enough to let everyone invade her home for a 4th of July bbq and fireworks. The food was great and we all had fun. The fireworks were amazing...I didn't even know you could buy fireworks like that. It was like our own little professional show (with the added perk of having to dodge the shrapnel). Quentin and I getting ready to watch fireworks

Trying to get all the grandkids to cooperate is not an easy task

Quentin roasting marshmallows for my s'more :) This was taken before the grill melted through the plastic table. Just an FYI...grills should not be placed on plastic surfaces. Sparklers! Ashlyn loved it. Cora was not a huge fan and Nick ended up burning a little hole through his shirt.
Sarah has two yorkies! This is my new friend Gunther. He has the same coloring as Butters, but is much skinnier (No Sarah, not smellier). He was so sweet and loved the attention he got from me.

Meeting Baby Addison

The best part of our three day weekend was that we got to meet our new niece, Addison Bell Hufford, for the first time. She was four weeks old I think and soooo precious! What a great baby! She hardly cried and she was so alert. She loved looking at the lights and I really just could not hold her enough. Quentin was so cute with her and it was fun to watch them together.
The main reason we went to visit was for Addison's blessing. Her dress was beautiful and she did such a good job. I think she slept the whole way through the blessing. She looked so cute! We are so happy to welcome her into our family. Thanks John and Shannon for letting us stay with you, we look forward to coming again sometime!

Branson

Friday was my paid holiday for 4th of July, and since we were heading down to Arkansas for Addison's blessing we decided to leave Thursday night to get some extra fun in. We stayed with Mooma in Willard Thursday night along with everyone else but John and Shannon. Then Friday we headed to Branson. We spent a few hours at Silver Dollar City and then decided we needed to cool down, so we went to White Water for a while. We had lots of fun! Here's a picturte of Quentin and I in front of the Great American Plunge (I think). Quentin and I definitely got most of the water, but it felt pretty good on such a hot day!

Happy Father's Day!

Well this can't compete with Shannon's Father's Day Post (sorry, we just aren't as cute as Addison). For Father's Day Butters was kind enough to get Daddy a present. He knows how much Daddy loves Family Guy so he wanted to give him one of the seasons for Father's Day to show his appreciation for Daddy. He really is a thoughtful dog. So Sunday morning he helped me give it to Quentin. Here's the picture!

Vacation

Well I know this is long over due, but I just thought we would put some pictures up of our Utah/Vegas vacation. We had a lot of fun and it was great to spend time with Randy and Marchelle and visit my Grandmas. We also got to see some other family too, which is always nice.

We started out in Lehi for a few days staying with Dad and Marchelle. We flew into Salt Lake so we stopped by the temple and saw the conference center. Then we drove down to St. George to stay with my Grandma. Luckily, we were able to get Dad's AC fixed before the trip because it would have been pretty miserable without it. We ate tons of good food (Cafe Rio, In N Out, Pizza Factory, etc). I got to hit up the fabric stores and pick out way cute fabric for the baby blankets I make.
Then we drove to Vegas and walked around the strip for a day. There is a lot to take in and it's impossible to see everything in the amount of time we had but we tried to squeeze in as much as we could. We stayed at Circus Circus, which was a huge mistake. They had the most uncomfortable beds that had wires that dug into my ribs so I hardly slept and it's really far from everything else so Quentin got blisters walking to the rest of the strip (which was not enjoyable for anyone). Then we ended up missing all of the free shows (water show, volcano, pirate show). We waited for almost an hour for the pirate show at Treasure Island and then it was canceled due to high winds. So it was pretty disappointing! The day we left we went to the Rainforest Cafe and it was fun. We had a good time, but we were definitely ready to come home at the end. With the Coca Cola bear (who proceeded to stick Dad's head in his mouth) Quentin with one of the many fancy cars we saw...a Ferrari (I think this was Quentin's highlight of the trip.
