Ho Ho Ho!
I realize we're way past Christmas, but this is still cute. Andrew's aunt bought him a little Santa outfit this year and I bought one for Butters at the after Christmas sale so we decided to put our little Santas together for the perfect photo op. The problem was neither one wanted to hold still!

Time Flies
Since Valentine's Day was on a Sunday this year, we didn't really do anything for it. Not that we normally make a huge deal of it, but we probably would have gone out to eat at least. Valentine's Day is really just silly anyway. The day that is more significant to us is the day after Valentine's Day because that's when we had our first date. Two years ago yesterday! Which means two years ago today is when Quentin said "I love you." :) We have spent nearly every day from our first date together. It's hard to believe we've been together for two years, but at the same time it just feels like we've always been together. We've grown a lot in the past two years, and I'm anxious to see what the next 80 years have in store for us.
The Pintos Visit
Kirsten and Kirk had an open house this weekend in Columbia. They just stayed the weekend, so it was a short trip, but it was so fun to see them! Unfortunately, I got called into work Friday night because one of the midnight techs called in sick. I worked midnight to 7AM and it was really really busy. Needless to say, I was exhausted when I got home, and then by the time I took a shower and got to bed I only got 3 hours of sleep. At noon we went to lunch at Murry's, which is always a good thing! Then we went to the AT&T store because we were all eligible for phone upgrades. The poor lady who worked there had to deal with 5 inddecisive people picking out their phones. We ended up getting a good deal though. We got the phones for free and then I got a cover for $15 (normally $30) and a car charger for $20 (normally $30 as well). So I paid $35 for a $90 value :) I love my new phone! Saturday night was the open house and they had a really good turnout. It was fun to see everyone, and the food was yummy! Sunday after dinner everyone came over to play guitar hero and see our apartment. It was fun, and I think Kirk wins the prize of best guitar hero skills. I didn't really take pictures, so you'll just have to deal with more Flat Stanley pictures I stole from mom.
Please ignore Butter's new look. He got a haircut on Friday and looks a little rat-like, but I think Flat Stanley enjoyed riding him despite his resemblance to a large rodent. Sorry you had to meet Butters like that Kirk! He really is much cuter normally.

Flat Stanley
It's been a while since I posted anything because we haven't really had a lot of post-worthy moments. But I guess this will work...Cole's (my cousin) first grade class read "Flat Stanley" and then made their own and sent him to a friend to take around for two weeks. Cole sent his to Mom, who then sent him with Quentin and I for a day to have a few extra adventures. (Although "adventures" might be a little bit of a stretch for describing our lives). I took him to work with me, where he got an x-ray.Then Quentin took him to work with him so he could test drive the cars.
It was kind of fun because I remember doing my own Flat Stanley in elementary school, but that was before the days of digital cameras, so I had to settle for a letter telling me what he did instead of a bunch of pictures. Overall, it's just a pretty fun project and I hope my kids get to do it too.
