New Love Seats :)

Here it is...the moment I'm sure you have all been waiting for...the new love seats have arrived! We rearranged a little bit and now it seems like we have a ton of extra space in here and I love it! We also got some new end tables at Wal-Mart that are really cute. AND I got new coasters :) So I have really been spoiled lately. Here's a picture...and you will all just have to come visit to get the full effect.

Our Saturday

We had a pretty busy Saturday this week! Cassandra and Alexa came to visit and it was a day full of shopping, eating, home decor, and just hanging out. Alexa absolutely LOVED Butters, and even kept trying to give him kisses. She is so cute and it was great to have them visit! Thanks for coming Cassie! On our shopping trip, we stopped by Hobby Lobby and these shelves that I've been wanting were on sale for 50% off, so we bought those and put them up after Cassie left. I should have taken a before picture, but all I have is the after. It looks so much better and Quentin did a great job hanging them! I also found some curtains on clearance at Target that will match our living room, so I hung those and bought another set to make pillows with that we can use with our new love seats.

New Furniture!

Saturday we bought new furniture! We can't get a couch up the stairs of our apartment, so we got two of the same love seat (pictured below in the same color and everything). They haven't delivered them yet, but I'll be sure to post pictures when we get them! They are Ashley brand, but we bought them at Missouri Furniture because they are the only ones who would price match Nebraska Furniture Mart. I can't wait to get them!! They are microfiber and I have always wanted microfiber furniture!

One Year!

Well, we made it through our first year of marriage! To celebrate we went to Branson together for the weekend. It was extra crowded because there was a car show there that weekend. We went to white water and there were lines to get the tubes so that you could go stand in line to ride the rides, but the weather was nice and we still had fun despite the crowds. Then we went on the Branson Belle, which is a showboat that goes out on Tablerock Lake. They feed you dinner and then there's a show and it was really fun. The food was really good and the show was really fun too. Unfortunately, I forgot to charge the battery in my camera before we went, so we didn't get any pictures :( Sadly, we did not even realize there was no battery until we tried to have someone take our picture. Oh well. We also went to the outlets, but just weren't that impressed this time. Then Quentin took me to get some ice cream at Maggie Moo's which is my FAVORITE! Unfortunately it traffic was horrible, so it took forever to get back to the hotel (we really are not patient people when it comes to traffic). We were both so tired from our busy day that we just layed around the hotel for the rest of the night. Sunday morning was our actual anniversary, so we saved our cake for then. Yes, we packed our frozen cake and took it with us! It was sitting in an ice chest all day, so the water and ice had soaked through the plastic wrap and the box to the cake, which did not look appetizing. Oh well, we really weren't expecting much from a one year old cake right? So we fed it to each other anyway (just a small bite) and then threw the rest away. It was a fun little trip and it's hard to believe it's already been a year. We have both grown a lot and I feel so blessed to have Quentin for a husband. He treats me so well and is very patient with me. I love him more and more every day and look forward to spending eternity with him! (Sorry, a little mushy I know).

4th of July

John's sister, Sarah, was kind enough to let everyone invade her home for a 4th of July bbq and fireworks. The food was great and we all had fun. The fireworks were amazing...I didn't even know you could buy fireworks like that. It was like our own little professional show (with the added perk of having to dodge the shrapnel). Quentin and I getting ready to watch fireworks

Trying to get all the grandkids to cooperate is not an easy task

Quentin roasting marshmallows for my s'more :) This was taken before the grill melted through the plastic table. Just an FYI...grills should not be placed on plastic surfaces. Sparklers! Ashlyn loved it. Cora was not a huge fan and Nick ended up burning a little hole through his shirt.
Sarah has two yorkies! This is my new friend Gunther. He has the same coloring as Butters, but is much skinnier (No Sarah, not smellier). He was so sweet and loved the attention he got from me.

Meeting Baby Addison

The best part of our three day weekend was that we got to meet our new niece, Addison Bell Hufford, for the first time. She was four weeks old I think and soooo precious! What a great baby! She hardly cried and she was so alert. She loved looking at the lights and I really just could not hold her enough. Quentin was so cute with her and it was fun to watch them together.
The main reason we went to visit was for Addison's blessing. Her dress was beautiful and she did such a good job. I think she slept the whole way through the blessing. She looked so cute! We are so happy to welcome her into our family. Thanks John and Shannon for letting us stay with you, we look forward to coming again sometime!

Branson

Friday was my paid holiday for 4th of July, and since we were heading down to Arkansas for Addison's blessing we decided to leave Thursday night to get some extra fun in. We stayed with Mooma in Willard Thursday night along with everyone else but John and Shannon. Then Friday we headed to Branson. We spent a few hours at Silver Dollar City and then decided we needed to cool down, so we went to White Water for a while. We had lots of fun! Here's a picturte of Quentin and I in front of the Great American Plunge (I think). Quentin and I definitely got most of the water, but it felt pretty good on such a hot day!
